Introduction

Marcus Sohlberg

Chinese Speaker (HSK6) l Engineer

Welcome to my website! My name is Marcus Sohlberg, an outgoing and customer-oriented Chinese speaking engineer that has lived in Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City for more than 6 years. I thrive in a challenging environment and have 8 years of experience working with sales, growth, strategy, and key accounts, interacting with both small and Fortune 500 companies.

Since I embarked on my first trip to China a decade ago, I've become fluent in English and developed a full work proficiency in Chinese, passing HSK6 (汉语水平考试) in 2017.

My current objective is to find a position where I can continue helping businesses to grow and to further develop my skills. I'm currently looking for any of the below positions:

● Product Manager
● Project Manager
● Key Account Manager
● Operations Manager
● Technical Sales Manager
● Business Development Manager

Notable achievements:

● I was stationed as a technical sales manager/expat for a Fortune 500 company in Shanghai and the main interface to customers. I managed quotations, oversaw technical specifications, and supported QA-issues. My main responsibility was to assure customer satisfaction and to meet the tight production deadlines. The job required full work proficiency in Mandarin and I managed daily discussions with production plants, purchasers, and engineers in Mandarin.

● Worked as a project coordinator/sales engineer in Sweden where I and my team successfully won 3 consecutive businesses with one of the world's biggest automotive companies (production lifetime: 2013 - 2025). I was responsible for multiple technical components with one product having a project value of +US$100 million.

● I have developed a deep knowledge of Asian eCommerce and real estate markets while working in Vietnam. Identified and established partnerships with major eCommerce companies, distribution management companies, and real estate companies.

● My articles/publications in eCommerce and real estate have been featured in Forbes, the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, various government websites, and more.
